Brent Jacobsen

Brent Jacobsen is a lifetime builder. He has an operator's hands, an investor's mind and an editor's eye. He expects the world to keep up and quietly rebuilds it when it doesn't.

He wrote his first software program at five years old and has been building ever since. He built houses in high school, spent two years in Mexico helping others build their faith before college, and built his first business, two pizza restaurants, while he finished college. He has personally built hundreds of websites, served as CTO for several startups, and advised many other founders building great companies along the way.

In 2018 Brent co-founded BUILD Capital Partners. BUILD's first investment was Pure Infusion Suites, where Brent was not just an investor, but a co-founder. He served as Pure's first COO and later as its CTO, and he has stayed deep in the business, being on the board from day 1 until today - operating the way BUILD works with every company it backs. Eight years in, he still builds and runs the systems Pure's teams use every day, from referral intake and the revenue cycle to the financial reporting its leadership works from. Pure was named the fastest-growing company in Utah in 2024 and again in 2025. In late 2025 it merged with AleraCare, and today, as Pure Infusion, it runs more than 75 infusion centers.

Today his work reaches from Utah to the coast of northern Chile, where he is helping build Aguas Patillo, a desalination project, and to BUILD's investors around the world, whom he works with in English and Spanish. When a hard question lands at BUILD or Pure, Brent is usually the one in the data, building the tool that answers it, and BUILD runs a lot of its work on AI systems Brent designed.

Brent holds an MBA from BYU's Marriott School and degrees in economics and Spanish from Utah State, where he was a Koch Scholar. He lives in Logan, Utah with his beautiful family of 7.
